Lent 2011:

Ten Minute Catechism

We continue the tradition of Ten Minute Catechism after masses during Lent.

How does it work? Come to the pews by the piano in Church after the 5:30 PM mass on Saturday, or the 10:30 AM or 5:00 PM masses on Sunday.

You get ten minutes of information and formation about some aspect of our faith. You also get a take home handout that recaps and goes into more depth.

Then the timer rings - and you are done!

Ways to Pray

Week one (March 12/13)

Week two (March 19/20)

Week three (March 26/27)
    The Examen
"The unexamined life is not worth living"? Well, learn how to find the worth in yours. Using this prayer to find the 'footprints' of God in your life.

Week four (April 2/3)

Lectio Divina
This form of 'sacred reading' of the Scriptures has been practiced for 1500 years. If it has worked for that long, perhaps it is time to try it.

Week five (April 9/10)

The Stations of the Cross
Walking with Jesus through his Passion and Death was one of the earliest forms of 'virtual reality.' How can you share in the journey and come closer to the Lord?
