Lent 2011:

Come to the Well

Small Faith Discussion Groups

Between 60 and 100 parishioners gather into small groups every Lent to reflect on faith together, to get to know each other better, and to share their journeys with each other.

This year, the topic is Come to the Well. We hear the story of the Samaritan Woman in John 4 on the third Sunday of Lent. She didn't expect to encounter the Lord, but she came away from her meeting with filled with grace, having received Living Water.

Each week, the groups will reflect on the Gospel we hear in church that Sunday. From this reflection, you will gain

  • Greater insight into the Gospel story, which enhances your participation at mass.
  • A way to focus on the meaning of each passage and help connecting it to your life.
  • An appreciation of the intersection between what we hear in the Scriptures and how our faith as Catholics is lived.

The readings and the questions for each week of Lent.
