St. Alphonsus has a thriving young adult community. We organize many social and faith sharing events. Cocktails After Church

Once a month we go to a bar for drinks and food after mass. This is a great opportunity to meet other young adults in the church and have some great drinks and food. Click on the calendar link to see the upcoming dates.

 

Charis Lenten Day of Reflection

St. Alphonsus is co-sponsoring this event that will be held on March 24th. Fr. Pat McGrath, SJ (provincial assistant for the Jesuits) and Dr. Avis Clendenen (professor of theology and St. Xavier University will be speaking on the topic of Get Your Faith in Shape: Spiritual Exercises with St. Ignatius. Throughout the day, there will be time for presentations, small group discussion, and prayer. Please email stalphonsusyam@yahoo.com by March 10 if you are interested in attending this event. If you sign up through St. Alphonsus you will get a discounted rate of $30. We have the availability to send 5 St. Al’s parishioners for free. We will give this to the first five people who email us to sign up. 

 

Faith Sharing Groups

The mission of the faith sharing groups is to provide the St. Alphonsus parishioners an experience to reflect on their faith by learning from the experiences of others in the group, exploring the Gospels, participating in group prayer, and reflecting on the questions provided. The groups meet every other week. Each group is composed of approximately 10 members that have one or two group leaders. Please email stalphonsusyam@yahoo.com if you are interested in joining a group.
